Job Title: Laundry Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Laundry Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laundry and warewash division. This includes supervising chemical specialists, providing training and direction, and interacting with customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and plan the work of chemical specialists, including routing and off-hour coverage.
  • Assist in training existing and new chemical specialists.
  • Report customer-related issues to the Laundry/Warewash Service Manager.
  • Supervise work schedules and tasks of chemical specialists.
  • Monitor and implement company policy and legal compliance measures.
  • Handle employee complaints and grievances.
  • Assist chemical specialists with troubleshooting issues and problems.
  • Develop and implement new means of delivering customer service to sustain growth.
  • Provide recommendations to the Laundry/Warewash Service Manager on hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, and other changes in status.
  • Appraise employees' productivity and efficiency for purposes of changes in status.
  • Responsible for supplying technicians with materials and tools they need to perform duties.
  • Responsible for surveying new accounts for install and supervising all new installs to ensure Brady standards are in place.
  • Determine types of materials, supplies, machinery, equipment, and tools to be used.
  • In charge of gathering/staging all equipment, parts, tools, etc. for new installs, with follow-up and quality control on new accounts.
  • Monitor and control budget and expenses associated with new installs and service.
  • Order and maintain test kit chemicals par levels for technicians.
  • Interface with customers and sales representatives to address relationship and technical challenges and assure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide information, resolve problems, and advise internal and external customers on products and/or services, for highest customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Perform quality control surveys on all key laundry & warewash accounts.
  • Assist in interviewing and selecting employees.
  • Cover for all technicians for vacations, sick time, time off, out of town, etc.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position manages employees of the department and is responsible for the performance, management, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems, and provides valuable input on the hiring and retention of employees within that department.
