General Medicine Specialist

Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking a talented General Medicine Specialist to join its esteemed faculty. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing an interdependent clinic, providing high-quality primary and urgent care in outpatient settings.
Main Responsibilities:- Clinical: Manage the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring exceptional patient care and satisfaction.
- Administrative: Oversee billing, documentation, and credentialing processes, guaranteeing seamless compliance and efficiency.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
- Direct experience managing a busy primary care clinic.
- Demonstrated interest and expertise in developing a combined primary and urgent care model.
- Interest in teaching and growth in an academic setting.
- Experience working in a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as an affiliate faculty member at VCU.
- Ability to drive team success as Medical Director and/or Physician Leader of a diverse clinical and administrative team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to support the advancement of research, scholarly, and academic missions of the division.
