Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Long Term Substitute Intervention Specialist to join our team at Dayton Area School Consortium. As an Intervention Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students who require additional academic instruction.

About the Role
  • Assume responsibility for delivering quality instruction and assessment to support student learning.
  • Provide direct supplemental instruction to students requiring support in academic, applied, and related areas.
  • Support academic instructors in the classroom and provide individual and small group instruction to meet student needs.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and prepare teaching aids and resources to supplement academic instruction classes.
  2. Maintain written progress reports for students served, including formal assessments, pre- and post-tests, and daily assignments.
  3. Prepare and maintain a weekly schedule of students to be served and maintain close communication with regular academic and career technical instructors.
Requirements
  • Valid Ohio Certification/Licensure by the State of Ohio, Department of Education to instruct in their area of professional competency.
  • Certificate/License for Special Education.
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License.
