Salary Range:$70,000-$105,000
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Field Service Technician to support our clients in the installation, maintenance, and repair of CNC machinery at customer sites across various locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Setup:
- Install and configure CNC machines and equipment at customer sites.
- Conduct thorough testing and calibration to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on CNC machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues to restore machine functionality.
- Customer Support:
- Provide technical support and training to clients on the operation and maintenance of CNC machines.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, including work performed, parts replaced, and any customer interactions.
- Prepare and submit reports and service logs as required.
- Travel and Logistics:
- Travel extensively (approximately 90% of the time) to various customer sites, which may include overnight stays and extended trips.
- Manage travel logistics, including transportation and accommodation arrangements.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or technical certification in a relevant field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with CNC machinery, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with a variety of CNC brands and models is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of CNC systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and diagnostic skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and tools.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying work environments and conditions.
