We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room ER Registered Nurse RN to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. As a member of our Level III Trauma Center, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of our patients.

Job Summary

This is a rewarding and challenging role that requires a high level of skill, expertise, and compassion. As an Emergency Room ER Registered Nurse RN, you will provide direct care to patients experiencing life-threatening emergencies. Our state-of-the-art ER has 24 beds with a 6-bed rapid treatment area, and we see an average of 110 patients per day.

  • You will administer medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
  • As a member of this team, you will also be responsible for coordinating patient care with other healthcare professionals and ensuring seamless transitions throughout the care process.

In addition to your clinical skills, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

Requirements
  • One year experience in Emergency services is preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Licensed a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
