About the Role
Award-winning Sternberg International Truck Sales & Service - Bloomington is seeking a skilled Diesel Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our customers receive top-notch repair and maintenance services for their heavy-duty diesel vehicles.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with at least 1 year of Fleet or Dealership experience. As a Diesel Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on diesel vehicles in a fast-paced environment. Your primary objective will be to deliver high-quality work while maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Responsibilities:
• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment
• Read job orders, observe vehicle operation to resolve malfunctions, and plan work procedures
• Follow checklists to ensure critical parts are examined
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust as needed
• Test-drive vehicles to ensure they run smoothly
• Tag all warranty parts and returns to the warranty clerk
• Attend training classes and stay up-to-date with factory technical bulletins
• Develop positive relationships with customers to increase overall satisfaction
• Properly complete assigned service and/or repairs according to supervisor instructions
• Maintain your workspace in an organized and clean manner

Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of Fleet or Dealership experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• ASE certification preferred
• CDL certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Strong dedication to customer satisfaction and service team
• Self-motivated and professional
