We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at IDEA Public Schools. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in helping students with special needs overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

About the Role

This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for a licensed Occupational Therapist who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students. In this role, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized therapy plans that address the unique needs of each student.

Our ideal candidate will have experience working with students with fine motor deficits, visual motor integration difficulties, coordination issues, dysregulation, sensory issues, and/or behavioral deficits. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing and implementing therapy plans, collaborating with the ARD committee, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that align with students' goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with the ARD committee to ensure students receive a free and appropriate public education (FAPE)
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy sessions
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and research-based interventions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Texas License as an Occupational Therapist granted by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
  • National Certification in Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapist Registered
  • Valid Driver's License

We offer a competitive salary range of $74,764 - $87,100 per year, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications.
