About the RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our team at Medical City Dallas. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our young patients and their families.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you'll need to possess a strong passion for pediatric hematology oncology nursing, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You'll also need to be able to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team, prioritizing tasks effectively and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
As a Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse Specialist at Medical City Dallas, you can expect a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
- Estimated annual salary: $83,000 - $120,000 based on experience.

- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification required.
- Registered Nurse in Texas or holds a compact license.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Provider, or APHON Chemotherapy Provider must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- Stem Cell experience preferred.
- CPHON certification preferred within 24 months of hire.
