Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our float team at UW Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team in delivering remarkable patient-family centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination, obtain vital signs, document chief complaint, medications, and allergies.
  • Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Educate and promote the importance of wellness and healthy lifestyles to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to deliver high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following: Completion of an accredited medical assistant program, Licensure as an LPN, Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program, Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee, Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated, or One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification.
  • Preferred - One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN.
