We are currently seeking a Critical Care Transition Nurse to join our team in Chapel Hill, NC.

Job Summary

The Critical Care Transition Nurse will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status in the step-down unit.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes in the step-down unit.

Requirements

  • Current RN license
  • BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)
  • Two years of recent Step Down experience
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills.
