About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital IT Technical Specialist to join our team at Parker Aerospace Group. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting highly secure and resilient information technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the stable, consistent, and secure operation of all facets of IT infrastructure, including storage, servers, network, and telecom solutions.
  • Understand business impact and create and communicate decisions that affect the wider business, effectively managing customer expectations.
  • Guide and train team members in technical business skills and processes.
  • Have a broad understanding of Digital and IT strategy across all functions and assess impact within your area of responsibility.
  • Interpret business requirements effectively and translate them into information technology solutions.
  • Apply and lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and improve system efficiencies.
  • Lead the development and implementation of solutions that address new business requirements, while managing risk on implementation projects.
  • Perform IT life-cycle management methodologies, including design, system analysis of complex technologies, development, testing, project management, and change management.
  • Establish methods to monitor and improve performance of systems and processes; identify deficiencies in IT systems/processes and recommend and/or implement solutions/areas for improvement.
  • Consistently document/update the IT environment and IT policies.
  • Design, plan, install, configure, and support compute, storage, and backup infrastructure solutions.
  • Install and configure IT application software, including upgrades, updates, and patches, as necessary.
  • Assist with configuring, installing, and maintaining network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points and other network and telecom equipment, as needed.
  • Implement and maintain security measures, monitor threats, and respond to security incidents as required.
  • Work with Group IT to migrate workloads to the cloud. Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, and security.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain a disaster recovery plan.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computing Science or Information Systems is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with Information Technology.
  • Experience with server, storage, and datacenter management.
  • Experience in VMware, Dell Apex VxRail, or Microsoft Hypervisor virtualization.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience managing and maintaining Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019 in an enterprise environment.
  • Practical experience with cloud-based compute solutions such as Azure.
  • Experience in deploying and managing MS SQL environment.
  • Proficient in backup technologies such as Commvault, Symantec NetBackup, Rubrik, VEEM, or Cloud Backup technologies (Azure).
  • Proficient in SCCM, managing GPOs, Active Directory, and developing PowerShell scripts.
  • Experience planning and implementing disaster recovery solutions.
  • Good understanding of Network layers.
  • ITIL Foundations or Intermediate level certification is strongly preferred.
