Job Title: Parts Associate

Job Summary:

The Parts Associate is responsible for performing order picking, packing, and stocking duties. This role also supports the shipment of goods produced and received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret packing slips, enter correct information into the computer, and acknowledge receipt of goods into the purchase order and processing database.
  • Familiarity with various forms used/required by major freight carriers.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area while following prescribed safety regulations.
  • Estimate weight to calculate the cost of shipping.
  • Familiarity with proper packaging methods and common material handling equipment.
  • Experience with UPS/FEDEX online software is desirable.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in warehouse distribution.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other computer applications.

Training and Physical Demands:

General Safety, Electrostatic Discharge Awareness, Foreign Object Damage Awareness. Required to lift up to 50 lbs., regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility.

Work Environment:

Work performed in a combination of warehouse and office environments. Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils.
