Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design calculations, technical reports, and engineering plans for assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers to perform research, development, calculations, design, and delivery of projects.
  • Apply engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria to projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Leverage technical knowledge and experience to address design-related issues or concerns.
  • Develop conceptual and detailed designs and calculations to support project completion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Passion for Transit and understanding of the impacts of decisions on technical design and work planning.
  • Ability to coordinate work planning and design effectively across multiple technical disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification (depending on discipline).
