Perinatal Psychiatrist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Perinatal Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary inpatient team at Northside Hospital Inc. This role involves providing specialized psychiatric care to women during the perinatal period, including pregnancy, postpartum, and the early parenting years.

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for pregnant and postpartum patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
• Provide counseling and therapeutic support for conditions such as postpartum depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and psychosis.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for mothers and their families.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completed residency in Psychiatry.
• Fellowship in Perinatal Psychiatry or equivalent experience preferred, but not required.
• Board certification/Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the state of Georgia.
• DEA certification for prescribing controlled substances.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a psychiatric setting, with a focus on women's mental health and perinatal care.
