Job Description

NorthShore Center for Oral & Facial Surgery is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and fostering a positive work environment. We are seeking a skilled Surgical Assistant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Surgical Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, maintaining a clean and organized operatory, and assisting the Oral Surgeon during treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, obtaining consent, and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
  • Maintain a clean and organized operatory, including restocking instruments and supplies as needed.
  • Assist the Oral Surgeon during treatment procedures, including positioning patients and providing support as needed.
  • Ensure all necessary equipment is functioning properly and make adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient practice operations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a medical or dental setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
