Data Scientist with Advanced Research Expertise

About the Role:

Noblis is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team in Chantilly, VA. As a Data Scientist with our team, you will work with federal clients to develop innovative solutions for immediate mission challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply state-of-the-art research and open-source technologies to create creative solutions.
  • Develop and train new machine learning models.
  • Identify, curate, and process large data sets.
  • Research, apply, analyze, and document technical approaches and their outcomes.
  • Leverage various computing resources such as GPU clusters and cloud-based compute servers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 0-2 years of professional work experience for Junior-Level, 2-4 years for Mid-Level, 3-5 years for Senior-Level, and 5+ years for Expert-Level.
  • ACTIVE Top Secret with SCI and Polygraph.
  • Experience using ML and data science packages such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
  • Experience leveraging open-source models and adapting them to generate custom solutions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Comfortable using development tools such as VSCode, github/gitlab, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with database systems such as PostgreSQL.
  • Demonstrated experience working with open-source datasets.
  • Familiarity with data science best practices and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile development workflows.
