Job Overview

At Summit Medical Group Operations LLC, we're seeking an experienced Clinical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our patient care team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity that requires the right individual to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Your primary responsibility will be to provide administrative and clinical support to our physicians and healthcare professionals.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations and procedures according to physician preferences.
  • Record vital signs of patients, including pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, etc.
  • Perform phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, holter monitors, and other clinical procedures as needed.
  • Assist physicians with procedures, administer medications, and conduct patient education sessions.
  • Handle phone nursing duties, including triaging, pre-certs, referrals, calling in prescriptions, and communicating test results to patients.
  • Pull and prepare patient records for physicians to review and update.
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently, ensuring minimal wait times and maximum use of clinical time slots.
  • Maintain stocked, neat, and clean exam rooms and common work areas on a daily basis.
  • Adhere to company policies, federal regulations (OSHA and HIPAA), and site-specific protocols.
  • Exhibit professionalism, courtesy, and cooperation with colleagues, management, and patients.
  • Maintain confidentiality both within the organization and externally.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and contribute to the evaluation of site performance.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors or physicians.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least six months of experience in a similar clinical setting.
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000-$55,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. Additionally, you'll enjoy a range of benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
