Barista Coordinator

We are a beloved brand in Austin, renowned for our high-quality food and beverages. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

The hourly compensation for this role is expected to be around $18-$20 per hour, depending on your prior experience as a Barista.

• Inventory Management: Ensure that the bread and pastry sections in our retail bake shop are adequately stocked, set up, and maintained throughout the day.
• Beverage Preparation: Prepare a variety of drinks, including espresso, in a fast-paced environment with high volume.
• Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and alcohol beverage service standards to guarantee a secure working environment.
• Cleanliness: Maintain a tidy workspace by adhering to food safety, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
• Customer Service: Respond effectively to customer inquiries about our offerings, menu items, promotions, and events, providing expert knowledge and recommendations when required.
• Knowledge Base: Develop an understanding of the food and drink menu, its ingredients, and preparation times to provide accurate information to customers.
• Specialty Drink Bases: Produce specialty drink bases according to established recipes.
• Order Communication: Clearly communicate customer orders to kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery.

• Certifications: Current Texas Food Handlers and TABC Certification are mandatory.
• Experience: Prior experience as a Barista (at least one year) is preferred.
• Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• Communication Skills: Excellent listening skills and effective communication abilities to respond to customer needs.
• Work Ethic: Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail are essential qualities.
• Multitasking: Ability to multitask efficiently and maintain productivity in a dynamic environment.
• Teamwork: A courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor is necessary for effective teamwork.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50+ pounds, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy, as well as standing for extended periods.
