Intensive Care Unit Nurse

Chi Mercy Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team. As an ICU Nurse, you will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide patient care of considerable difficulty and utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care given to patients.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties:
- Observe, collect, and record data related to a patient's biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, and self-care ability, as well as educational and discharge planning needs. Analyze assessment data to formulate a nursing diagnosis. Measure progress toward attainment of patient outcomes and goals.
- Implement an age-appropriate plan of care in conjunction with the physician, patient, patient's family, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medication to ensure patient safety.
Core Schedule: Week 1 Sun, Wed, Thu; Week 2 Mon, Tue, Sat
This position requires on-call with a 30-minute response time.
Qualifications
License/Certification:
- Current RN license issued by the State of Oregon required.
- Must have current American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers at hire.
- ACLS required within six (6) months of hire.
- TNCC, PALS, and/or CCRN certification preferred.
- A minimum of 2400 hours within the last 24 months as a Registered Nurse in critical care (ICU, PCU) required.
- Associates Degree in Nursing required.
- BSN preferred.
