Critical Care Nurse Coordinator Role

As a Critical Care Nurse Coordinator at Centerpoint Medical Center, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the ICU during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, you will direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serve as a resource person for staff, and model a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Operationalize current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives, to improve engagement.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within one year of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required within one year of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse licensure.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
