As a Recovery Coordinator for Recovery Housing, you will play a crucial role in managing the newly developed Recovery Housing efforts in Iowa. Your responsibilities will include conducting outreach and recruitment to interested providers for inclusion into the provider network, conducting contract monitoring for the Recovery Housing accrediting organization, and providing technical assistance and education to established providers, system partners, and interested stakeholders.
You will also be responsible for coordinating with the communications team as needed for press related to recovery housing, preparing required reports for funding entities, other division and leadership staff, and project partners regarding recovery-related services, and developing and maintaining processes to organize project monitoring activities.
Additionally, you will develop a strong understanding of data related to recovery services and supports, overdose and relapse prevention, review, analyze, and interpret recovery data and evaluate outcomes to determine technical assistance to the communities, and participate in and contribute to projects as needed, including but not limited to: writing Requests for Proposals (RFP's), reviewing proposals, attending meetings, preparing reports, writing sections of federal reports and proposals, writing portions of the Substance Use Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Services and/or Community Mental Health Block Grants, responding to requests for information.
You will also conduct on-site and virtual site visits with contractors to review program accomplishments, contract compliance and record-keeping procedures, and assist in the development and implementation of other recovery-related service initiatives, including but not limited to: Recovery Community Centers; Recovery work in the Judicial and Corrections systems; Recovery Coaching, Recovery Support Services; Naloxone Distribution; and overdose prevention efforts.
Finally, you will develop documents for procurement, contracting, and oversight of recovery-related service initiatives, including but not limited to: Recovery Community Centers; Recovery Coaching; Recovery Support Services; Naloxone Distribution; and other recovery and overdose prevention efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Recovery Housing efforts in Iowa
- Conduct outreach and recruitment to interested providers
- Conduct contract monitoring for the Recovery Housing accrediting organization

Requirements:
- Seven years of full-time work experience in the administration or operation/execution of a program
- One year of full-time work experience in the administration or operation/execution of a program and a total of four years of education and full-time experience
- Graduation from an accredited school of law
- Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes nine months of full-time work as a Program Planner 2 or twenty-seven months of full-time work as a Program Planner 1
