Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Echocardiographer to join our team at Williamson Health. As an Echocardiographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiogram procedures in a professional and efficient manner.

About the Role

This role requires proficiency in various echocardiographic techniques, including TEE and stress echocardiograms, while ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will work with cardiologists during TEE's and Cardioversions, and provide exceptional care in a supportive and inclusive healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as an Echocardiographer will include:

  1. Checking patient identification and physician order to ensure accuracy of request before proceeding with study.
  2. Recognizing abnormal studies and reporting appropriately. Understanding proper use of Definity.
  3. Seeking opportunities to assist in other areas during downtime periods and always making good use of time.
  4. Correctly recording preliminary calculations and post measurements and findings.
  5. Assisting Cardiologists during TEE's and Cardioversions.
  6. Showing leadership and teamwork in difficult situations and making appropriate decisions.
  7. Volunteering for overtime and fill-in when needed.
  8. Performing high-quality studies consistently and following pre-determined standards (protocols) and procedures for all echocardiography studies.
  9. Communicating and following through with fellow employees to ensure that all requests from physicians and patients are completed.
  10. Willfully providing portable studies for patients when it is in the best interest of the patient as deemed necessary by the patient's nurse or nursing supervisor.
  11. Utilizing knowledge of anatomy and disease processes to accurately communicate patient pathology to Cardiologist.
  12. Responding in a timely manner when on call.
Requirements

To be successful as an Echocardiographer at Williamson Health, you will need:

  • An earned degree/certificate from an accredited Echocardiography program.
  • Registration or registry eligibility in Echocardiography.
  • Proficiency in performing TEE studies, stress echo studies, and use of contrast.
  • BLS within 90 days of hire.
