Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Bally's Dover. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Front of House during assigned shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise operational activities, including providing training, planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Appraise performance, provide meaningful input into rewarding and disciplining employees, and address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Responsible for staff management, money management, reporting, sales goals, inter-office communications, and upholding company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the budget, staff supervision, scheduling, guest relations, and restaurant cleanliness.
  • Opens and closes shift in accordance with proper procedures, initiates guest interaction, and properly executes revenue and check control procedures.
  • Handles daily employee relations, maintains a safe and sanitary work environment, and gathers and implements all proper tools for running shift.
  • Finds solutions for problems such as call outs, last-minute bookings, or any other daily problems that may arise.
  • Ensures that guests are satisfied by assisting with serving, seating, and communication with the kitchen, and reports all employee issues and concerns to the General Manager.
  • Maintains presence on the floor during entire meal periods and ensures adequate coverage.
  • Interviews, selects, hires, and retains superior employees, completes and issues timely evaluations, conducts formal and informal training, and conducts formal and informal coaching and counseling.
  • Rewards and recognizes superior performers, ensures that service stations, POS terminals, bars, and retail areas are operational, and ensures that employees work safely and follow all safety rules.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures, maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry and competition, and ensures effective communication within the department and company.
  • Holds subordinates accountable for established performance expectations, motivates and develops staff, and provides advice and guidance as appropriate.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of supervisory experience in large, high-volume restaurants preferred.
  • Must possess good math skills, computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, and good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must possess good customer service and leadership skills, be able to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations, and present an overall professional appearance.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled, successfully pass a background check, and receive a lottery license from the DE Lottery.
  • Must be ABC certified before starting work and be able to speak, read, and write English.
