Job Summary:

This position is a Military Technician with the 88th Readiness Division, Reserve Personnel Action Center (RPAC) in Columbus, Ohio. The role involves researching complex pay actions, preparing various personnel actions, and maintaining personnel files to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Additionally, the position requires analyzing data to identify trends and reporting the results to management. The selected candidate will provide technical advice on establishment and maintenance of pay accounts, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. They will also provide guidance on administrative and personnel matters and assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures to ensure uniform interpretation and application.

Responsibilities:

Research complex pay actions and prepare various personnel actions
Maintain personnel files to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
Analyze data to identify trends and report the results to management
Provide technical advice on establishment and maintenance of pay accounts
Provide guidance on administrative and personnel matters
Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures

Requirements:

One year of specialized experience in preparing personnel actions, researching or analyzing pay issues, reviewing incoming regulations, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations, and advising on pay and personnel processes
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field such as Business Administration or Human Resources
Combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%

Additional Information:

This position offers a $10,000 recruitment bonus to individuals who are newly appointed as civilians in the Federal Government. The bonus will be made in four payments of $2,500. To accept this recruitment bonus, the selected candidate must make a four-year service obligation to the Army Reserve Military Technician Program. New Army Reserve Military Technicians may be authorized moving expenses to their first official duty station. Please note that direct deposit of pay is required, and selection is subject to restrictions resulting from the Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
