Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Fetal Echocardiography Specialist to join our team. This role is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, at our Willow Oaks location.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing specialized maternal-fetal sonography detecting fetal anomalies. This includes participating in department/hospital performance improvement initiatives, in-services, and meetings. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate patient safety in the department by using side rails, braking mechanisms, and patient monitoring.

Responsibilities
  • Perform specialized maternal-fetal sonography detecting fetal anomalies
  • Participate in department/hospital performance improvement initiatives, in-services, and meetings
  • Demonstrate patient safety in the department
  • Report, document, and correct any adverse, unsafe, or unusual conditions
  • Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition
  • Ensure rooms are stocked with appropriate supplies and have required supplies readily available for procedures
Requirements
  • Hours: full-time, M-F
  • Location: Willow Oaks
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Start; Successful completion of the Inova Nuchal Translucency (NT) Program is required within 6 months for team members without the Nuchal Translucency Certification.
  • Licensure: None required
  • Experience: Two years of hospital or doctor's office-based experience in the performance of specialized maternal-fetal sonography detecting fetal anomalies
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent; Degree from Accredited Sonography Training Program
