Job Description
- **Responsibilities**:
- Comprehensive analysis of loan files to ensure compliance with company, investor, and FHA/VA guidelines.
- Evaluation of entire credit package and collateral for residential mortgage loans.
- Verification of accuracy in calculations and data integrity.
- Completion of underwriting worksheets.
- Assistance with training of new underwriters.
- Recommendations for loan disposition to underwriting manager for amounts exceeding authority limits.
- Maintenance of company productivity standards and 48-hour turnaround time for underwriting decisions.
- Communication of loan decisions to relevant parties both verbally and in writing.
- Underwriting activity logs and monthly reports to underwriting manager.
- Availability for guideline interpretations and questions on specific loan files.

- **Qualifications**:
- Minimum three years of mortgage underwriting experience.
- Strong knowledge of underwriting guidelines and private investor insurance guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- Analytical, written communication, and verbal communication skills.

- **Estimated Salary:** $75,000 - $90,000 per year.
