About Our Team

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic Technician to join our team at Magnetic Technologies Corporation.

Job Summary

This is a highly diversified position that involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Installation and Maintenance: Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
  • Emergency Repairs: Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Mechanic Skills: Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
  • Diagnostic and Repair Work: Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety policies; identify and report unsafe conditions to Supervisor. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Requirements:

  • Certification and Education: Certificate in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred. High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Ability to use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc., with precision. Basic computer skills and ability to read and perform basic mathematics.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and/or move minimum 75 pounds for most machinery. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day.
  • Hazardous Materials: May be exposed to loud noises, dirt, dust, and fumes; moving mechanical parts and vibration.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000, depending on location and qualifications.
