Mental Health Therapist

The Mental Health Therapist provides behavioral health treatment, including assessment and diagnostic services, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions to address clinical, social, and behavioral issues. In this capacity, the Mental Health Therapist serves as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide effective mental health treatment in a hospital-based partial hospitalization program.
Job Requirements- Graduate of an approved Master's degree program in social work, counseling, psychology, or other related mental health field.
- Active and valid Maryland licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor - LGPC (LCPC preferred) or Licensed Master Social Worker - LMSW (LCSW-C preferred).
- Knowledge of DSM 5 nomenclature, psychotherapy, psychodynamics, therapeutic techniques, interviewing skills, addictions, family, and group theories.
- Written and oral communication skills, beginning leadership skills.
- Ability to plan and organize time and tasks, ability to maintain composure under stress.
- Must obtain and maintain active CPR.
- Grace Medical Center provides clinical supervision hours with a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) for Graduate level candidates (LGPC and LMSW).
