About the Role:

As a Privacy Specialist II at Cambia Health Solutions, you will play a critical role in protecting sensitive information and ensuring compliance with governing regulations. This is a temporary, remote position that offers a competitive hourly rate of $55.00 to $65.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate privacy incidents and log them in the incident tracking system to ensure compliance with HIPAA and state data breach laws.
  • Recommend corrective actions and communicate them to supervisors and managers.
  • Process individual rights requests under HIPAA and oversee mitigation efforts.
  • Assist with development and presentation of privacy-related training to further a compliance culture.
  • Complete training-tracking and monitoring to ensure enterprise-wide training completion compliance.
  • Assist with maintenance of databases relating to privacy.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, health policy, communication, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of previous work experience in privacy, particularly for a HIPAA-covered entity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least one privacy certification, such as CIPP-US or CHPC.
