Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Calibration Specialist to join our team at Micro Precision. As an integral part of our calibration services, you will be responsible for calibrating test instruments and ensuring the accuracy of our measurements.

About the Role:

  • Calibrate a variety of test instruments for electrical equipment, industrial equipment, and temperature equipment
  • Maintain company standards and perform checks as assigned by the Lab Manager
  • Collect and record calibration data, including certifications for out-of-tolerance conditions
  • Continuously develop knowledge in all aspects of Micro Precision's calibration services and share best practices with colleagues
  • Evaluate and follow safety precautions and quality standards in task performance, adhering to company policies
  • Effectively communicate calibration issues and procedures with customers and coworkers through phone, in-person discussions, and email correspondence
Requirements
  • Hold a valid Driver's License
  • Possess basic knowledge of mechanical and dimensional equipment, with preference given to experience in basic instrumentation and manual tools
  • Demonstrate basic mathematics understanding
  • Show excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have experience with MS Word and Excel software
  • Be able to work independently and under the supervision of Senior Technicians
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
Estimated Salary Range:

$55,000 - $75,000 per annum, depending on location and experience

This salary estimate is based on national averages for similar roles in the United States and may vary depending on specific circumstances. We offer competitive compensation packages that include benefits such as 401(k), medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as FSA options and paid time off.

Work Environment:

  • Work primarily in the local laboratory and occasionally at customer facilities
  • Up to 25% out-of-town, overnight travel required
