Senior Software Engineer-CONTRACT-REMOTE JOB SUMMARY

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to develop and maintain software applications and systems using AWS, Node.js, TypeScript, and PHP. This role is perfect for an experienced professional looking to work with a talented team at Jobot, where we help the underserved and at-risk disabled population receive disability benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain software applications and systems using modern technologies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features that meet our high standards.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that ensures scalability and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and debug mission-critical applications with ease.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of our codebase.
  • Mentor junior software engineers and help them grow in their careers.
  • Continuously discover and implement new technologies to stay ahead of the curve.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software development with a focus on AWS, Node.js, and PHP.
  • Strong knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, Docker, and AWS-based solutions.
  • Experience with relational databases and web application frameworks.
  • Experience with modern Git workflows and Agile development methodologies.


Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with build/deploy pipelines and CI/CD environments.
  • Experience developing user interfaces with modern JS/TS frameworks.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases and serverless functions on AWS.
  • Experience writing and maintaining automated tests.
