Job Summary:

CareFirst Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for supervising pharmacy technicians, performing quality checks, and assisting with front-end operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise pharmacy technicians according to NJ Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Perform final quality checks of prescription orders prior to shipment.
  • Supervise compounding activities of non-sterile preparations.
  • Perform quality checks and calculations of pharmacy technician & intern functions.
  • Assist front-end operations by handling customer calls and consultations.
  • Assist management with oversight of pharmacy technician, pharmacy assistant, and intern functions.

Requirements:

  • Valid NJ BOP Pharmacist Registration.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have typing skills of at least 30 WPM.
  • Pass a drug screen test.
  • Pass background check.
  • Read and understand USP and USP .
  • Read and understand HIPAA.
  • Maintain information confidentiality.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.

Working Conditions:

  • Personal protective equipment provided or required.
  • Temperature screenings.
  • Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place.

Work Schedule:

  • 8 to 16 hours per week.
  • Typical start time: 9AM.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $50.00 per hour

Education: Bachelor's

License/Certification: NJ Board of Pharmacy RPh Registration
