Role Overview
The global Regulatory Legal & Compliance Team works cross-functionally and across multiple jurisdictions to develop and execute regulatory strategies that facilitate expansion into new markets and sustainable growth of Airwallex's operations worldwide. This role will be focused on the Yield product, an innovative new product aimed at enabling businesses to invest their cash into fixed income products, such as money market funds.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate with local counsel across jurisdictions to discern and devise optimal paths to market from a regulatory and legal perspective.
• Provide advice and support to the product team, local legal teams, support functions, Airwallex management, and the Legal, Risk, and Compliance Department.
• Review and update manuals, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations in the regions in which Yield operates.
• Liaise with senior stakeholders of the Airwallex group, located around the world.
• Manage external counsel and consultants on regulatory matters.
• Develop and manage Airwallex's regulatory submissions and filings, and report on regulatory requirements internally and in regulatory filings.
• Support government relations outreach to legislators and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
• Juris Doctor and 10+ years of post-qualification experience.
• Background in investment products, in the broker-dealer regulatory environment or its equivalent in foreign markets.
• Strong regulatory experience gained in the fintech industry, reputable law firms, or financial institutions.
• Sound knowledge of the financial services regulatory environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to deal with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive, results-driven, and take ownership of your work.
• Ability to multi-task and a team player with strong communication skills.
• Strong drafting skills.

Compensation Range: $165K - $235K
