Are you a seasoned physician with a passion for internal medicine, research, and leadership? We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Director of Research in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine.

About the Role

We are committed to providing world-class care and advancing medical knowledge through innovative research. As a Director of Research, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and monitoring a research strategic plan within the Division of Hospital Medicine. Your expertise will help us identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth, while ensuring a culture of discovery and excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive research strategic plan, aligned with the division's goals and objectives
  • Serve as a resource for research methodology, project planning, and collaboration
  • Mentor faculty, trainees, and students to ensure sound project planning, execution, data analysis, and publication of results
  • Work closely with faculty to develop research plans and proposals, identifying funding sources, grant workshops, and collaborative research opportunities
  • Provide guidance on research budget management, staff oversight, and report development and circulation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • An MD, DO, MBBS, or equivalent degree with formal training or credentials in a relevant discipline
  • Ability to obtain full medical license in the state of Ohio
  • An actively funded research program in basic, translational, clinical, or health services research
  • A record of scholarly achievement and funding capabilities appropriate to your seniority and professional experience
  • Experience in research mentorship
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
What We Offer

We offer a highly competitive salary package, commensurate with your experience and qualifications, including a base salary of $180,000 - $220,000 per year, plus benefits such as comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, and generous paid time off.
