Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator - Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the dispatch of oil and water trucks to service assignments, relaying communications to crews and other field personnel, and managing various tasks to ensure seamless operations.

Salary: $55,000 - $80,000 per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and respond to customer requests for services, ensuring timely communication with crews and field personnel.
- Dispatch drivers and crews to service assignments, considering factors such as trip length, freight requirements, and customer preferences.
- Assign vehicles based on trip characteristics, customer needs, and other relevant factors.
- Issue necessary documents, keys, and credentials to drivers, recording departure and arrival times, cargo details, and expected return times.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, repairs, and other expenses.
- Investigate overdue vehicles and communicate with drivers and customers to resolve issues promptly.
- Direct driver activities through two-way radio communication.
- Collaborate with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or other issues.
Requirements and Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution or equivalent experience and training.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Intermediate computer knowledge and skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This role requires occasional standing, walking, sitting, using hands and arms, and talking or hearing. You may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. The work environment is generally moderate, with occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
Driver Criteria:
We follow these guidelines for insured drivers:
- One or more Type A Violations (DWI, DUI, etc.) within a 60-month period.
- Two or more Type B Violations (vehicle accidents) within a 36-month period.
- Three or more Type C Violations (moving violations) within a 36-month period.
