As a Backend Engineer at Snap Inc., you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and operation of our most critical and scalable services. You will work across teams to understand product requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver the solutions needed to build innovative products.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating our most critical and scalable services, including user identity services, friend graph, and our core persistence layer. We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer with experience in backend services or distributed systems. You will have a proven track record of operating highly-available systems at significant scale and be able to independently execute on medium-sized features.

You will also have the ability to collaborate and work well with others, as well as experience in at least one of the following areas: large-scale microservices and distributed systems, cloud computing and storage systems, infrastructure and large-scale system design, security, networking and data storage, or machine learning and natural language processing tools.

We offer a competitive salary range of $202,000-$303,000 annually, based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
