Overview

Innovation Works is a mission-driven organization that aims to foster a vibrant startup ecosystem in Southwestern Pennsylvania. We are seeking an experienced Program Curriculum Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-quality educational programs.

About the Role

This is a fully remote position that requires 600 hours of work over a period of 5 months. The ideal candidate will have experience designing project-based curriculum, working with Google Classroom, and training instructors for educational programming.

Job Description

The Program Curriculum Developer will be responsible for:

  • Developing and modifying the Startable curriculum in collaboration with the program team
  • Creating instructional materials and updating existing training programs to reflect changes
  • Assisting in the development of program curriculum and instruction in areas such as business and specialized topics
  • Delivering training on program curriculum modules to Startable instructors
  • Supporting program instructors on program curriculum, outcome expectations, and deliverable documentation

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have a strong understanding of entrepreneurship, product design, and web design curriculum.

Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proficiency in building and managing curriculum in Google Classroom
  • Experience designing project-based curriculum for teenage students
  • Training experience for educational programming
  • Working knowledge of Zoom and Google Suite applications, including Sheets, Slides, and Calendar
  • Entrepreneurship, product design, and web design curriculum experience (a plus)
Benefits

This is a freelance position, and we offer competitive compensation at $25 per hour. The estimated salary for this role is $15,000.
