Position Overview:
As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms, carotid doppler studies, and transesophageal echocardiograms with a high level of expertise.

Your role is crucial in delivering quality diagnostic and therapeutic care tailored to the unique needs of each patient.


Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional diagnostic testing services to patients and their families.

- Maintain a positive image of the department and healthcare facility through professional conduct and interpersonal relationships.

- Ensure all interactions with physicians and other stakeholders reflect superior customer service skills.


Additional Information:

Qualifications:

Educational Background:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. A background in a related healthcare field, such as Cardiopulmonary or Ultrasound, is preferred.

Professional Experience:
- A minimum of two years of experience in the Ultrasound field is preferred.

Licensure/Certification:
- Registration as an Ultrasound technician is preferred; state licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in North Carolina is also desirable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a working knowledge of VCR functions, mathematical skills, and an understanding of heart anatomy and physiology.

- A focus on customer service excellence is essential. BCLS training is required, along with a demonstrated understanding of patient care needs across various developmental stages.


Work Environment:
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases necessitates the use of personal protective equipment. Call-back duties may be required as outlined by management. The role may involve stressful work periods and contact with cleaning agents and chemicals, which may also require PPE.

Physical Demands:


- The position involves walking, standing, sitting, and pushing the Echo/Vascular machine throughout the facility. Assisting patients in moving and adjusting rooms to accommodate the Echo/Vascular machine is also part of the role.
