The primary responsibilities include processing payroll and tax payments for multiple clients, managing and updating payroll changes, terminations, benefit withholdings, and garnishments. Detecting and reconciling issues related to payroll and payroll tax payments. Filing quarterly payroll tax returns. Entering and maintaining accounting data in QuickBooks for various clients. Account reconciliations in QuickBooks, entering journal entries, sales tax filings, and generating 1099s/W-2s.

About the Role

  • We seek a highly experienced Bookkeeper/Payroll Professional who can process payroll and manage financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification or Certified Payroll Profession is preferred but not required.
  • You should have a solid understanding of current regulations, taxation of wages, deductions, and more.
  • Demonstrated experience in filing quarterly payroll tax returns is essential.
  • At least 2+ years' experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online) is necessary.
  • Broad knowledge of bookkeeping, AP, AR, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements is required.
  • Experience with financial statement preparation and year-end close is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is expected.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills are necessary.
  • You should be self-motivated, able to multitask, and manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Able to grasp new concepts and systems quickly.

Compensation Package

  • We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
