Job Summary:

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Family Medicine. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent clinical outcomes.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The schedule includes Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7am to 7pm, Tuesday from 8am to 7pm, Friday from 7am to 5pm, and Saturday from 8am to noon (open three Saturdays a month). Occasional travel to sister sites in Morton Grove and Lincolnwood is expected to cover absences.

Responsibilities:

Patient-Centered Wholistic Care: Provide culturally sensitive care to diverse populations, engaging with inter-professional colleagues to deliver exemplary care.

Clinical Excellence: Contribute to inter-professional excellence, represented by achieved clinical outcomes. Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, and skilled dialogue to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience.

Leadership: Participate in leading healthcare transformation and the nursing profession with commitment, dedication, and expertise. Express vision, demonstrate accountability through shared governance, contribute to the profession, and coordinate inter-professional care.

Compassion: Demonstrate presence with patients and families, practice empathy, and support spiritual needs and beliefs. Show respect and dignity always, and your presence is essential during the most vulnerable times. Promote relationship development with communities to create strong partnerships and improve health outcomes of patients and communities served.

Requirements:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

Current Illinois RN license

Current CPR

Certifications/education required for the nursing specialty - See Certification Addendum

Working Conditions:

Ability to work weekends, holidays, and different shifts to accommodate staffing

Ability to transport objects, patients, and equipment

Ability to respond quickly to patient needs and work at a fast pace

Work environment includes probability of exposure to adverse, hazardous, or unpleasant conditions while caring for the sick

Ability to assist in evacuation of patients in the event of a fire or other disaster

Ability to respond to patients in a timely manner and access all areas of the unit
