As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Snap, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our products. You will design and develop cutting-edge machine learning models that drive value for our users, advertisers, and company. Your expertise will help us navigate complex technical trade-offs and ensure exceptional code quality.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about machine learning, has a strong understanding of algorithms, and can prioritize duties effectively. You should be able to work well independently and collaboratively with internal and external partners. Strong problem-solving skills, collaboration, and mentorship abilities are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust and scalable machine learning models
  • Evaluate technical trade-offs and make informed decisions
  • Perform code reviews and ensure high-quality code
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of machine learning experience in the industry
  • Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or related frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience working with machine learning infrastructures and system design

We offer a competitive salary range based on location: $222,000-$333,000 annually (Zone A), $211,000-$316,000 annually (Zone B), and $189,000-$283,000 annually (Zone C). This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
