Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team at PRO TRANS INTERNATIONAL. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near our center, cross dock, trailers, yard, or work site.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
  2. Receives items for shipment, inspects visually for identity, quantity, and condition, and checks for obvious damage and segregates items requiring special handling.
  3. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or with forklift or other handling equipment.
  4. Completes receiving and shipping documents accurately and completely per ProTrans specifications with the scan gun.
  5. Counts, weights, and records number of units of materials moved or handled in PTI System.
  6. Ensures proper identification and coordinates transportation requirements.
