Grooming Technician

This role is responsible for enrolling and completing the Paragon training program, a 15-week virtual learning experience that teaches the fundamentals of bathing and grooming, as well as safety, pet first aid, and CPR. The successful candidate will be able to work with dogs and cats, demonstrate patience and compassion, and maintain a safe and clean environment.

• Enroll and complete the Paragon training program
• Work with dogs and cats, including bathing, drying, brushing, and combing
• Trim nails, clean ears, and perform basic clipper techniques
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a safe and clean environment
• Assist with generating business through phone calls, scheduling appointments, and verifying vaccinations

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work with dogs and cats, demonstrate patience and compassion, and maintain a safe and clean environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime

The working environment is favorable, with moderate noise levels. Exposure to sharp grooming instruments, perfumed shampoos and soaps, pets, and pet waste is possible. The ability to move and transfer live animals, equipment, and merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
