About the Role
Medical Laboratory Professional
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Professional to join our team at Atrium Health. As a Medical Laboratory Professional, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory examinations and tests, including specialized or experimental procedures, to ensure rapid and accurate results.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory examinations and tests, including specialized or experimental procedures
- Ensure rapid and accurate results
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
Requirements
- High School or GED Diploma Graduate
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, including a minimum of 30 quarter hours of lecture science, including at least 15 quarter hours of chemistry, 10 quarter hours of biology, and 5 quarter hours of math
- Registration as a Medical Technologist (MT, MLS, CLT, CLS) by the Board of Registry as ASCP, AMT, or registry eligible
- All newly hired technical staff must pass an approved certification exam within twelve (12) months of placement in this occupational classification
