**City of Dover Seeks Facilities Maintenance Specialist**

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team in the City of Dover. This part-time position involves maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of municipal buildings, as well as performing routine repairs and maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

About the Job

This is a 29-hour per week, part-time position that requires flexibility and adaptability. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining floors, carpets, and other surfaces in clean and safe condition
  • Emptying trash receptacles and recycling bins
  • Performing minor repairs and maintenance on building fixtures and equipment
  • Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and public areas
  • Removing snow and ice from walkways

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $16.49 to $23.87 per hour, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes opportunities for professional growth and development.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid motor vehicle operator's license. Some knowledge of building repair and maintenance practices is also required.
