Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at Covenant Health, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of illness and disease. You will perform ultrasound procedures to provide high-quality images that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities
• Conduct ultrasound procedures to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
• Collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
• Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest ultrasound technologies and techniques
Requirements
• Course study in diagnostic ultrasound or equivalent education/experience
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or National Registered Technologist - Sonography within 1 year of hire
• New Mexico Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Program License - if practicing within this state
Preferred Qualifications
• 1 year experience as an ultrasonographer
