Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chiller Mechanic to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for executing contract maintenance visits, inspections, and service requests for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute contract maintenance visits, inspections, and service requests for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers through effective communication skills.
  • Provide quote estimates for labor and material repairs and upgrades as needed.
  • Represent the company as the direct customer contact and be responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment and systems at customer locations.
  • Use cutting-edge software and technology, as well as a variety of hand tools and rigging equipment, to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets.
  • Work as part of a team dedicated to delivering high-quality service to customers, which may require flexibility to work overtime and weekends.
Requirements
  • Requires Mechanical Journeyman status.
  • Valid Red Seal Refrigeration and A/C certification.
  • Valid ODS certification.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers.
  • Adherence to company safety program.
  • Valid driver's license and appropriate licenses to work with refrigerants, boiler, and steam operational and service knowledge.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be on call nights and weekends on a rotating basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • More than 5 years of commercial, industrial, and/or institutional experience with all types of chillers, various compressor technologies, chiller control systems, and speed drives.
