About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven college student to join our team for the summer of 2025 as an Advanced Materials Engineering intern. The Carrier internship experience provides interns with a practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work environment where they can apply their knowledge and demonstrate their strengths in efforts to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining detailed records of testing conducted with detailed measurements of test solutions, environmental conditions, and equipment status.
  • Organizing test documents and providing summarized reports to engineers or internal customers.
  • Conducting additional sample preparation, metallography, and microscopy of tested samples as needed.
  • Coordinating documentation, return to customer, and/or storage of tested samples.
  • Assisting in continuous improvement efforts to increase test reliability and acceleration.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment, following all procedures and PPE requirements.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0 GPA.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven and proactive.
  • Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects.
Benefits

This internship offers a competitive salary of $41,000 - $96,450 Annually, making it an attractive opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on experience in the field.
