Job Description:

Support Strategic Procurement Initiatives

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist - Direct Sourcing to join our team at Refresco.

This role will focus on driving strategic procurement initiatives within direct categories, leveraging supplier performance and spend analysis to optimize costs and improve supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify New Sourcing Opportunities: Proactively integrate direct procurement activities through the identification of new sourcing opportunities that align with business goals.
  • Catex Management: Plan, organize, direct, and control activities related to each direct spend category, ensuring effective category management practices.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Manage direct supplier relationships, including supplier scorecards and contract terms, to ensure optimal collaboration and mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Vendor Identification and Selection: Aid in identifying vendors to procure commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality, and delivery date, while maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers.
  • Supply Chain Collaboration: Maintain open communication with supply sources and assist category managers in achieving business objectives.
  • New Source Development: Interview sales representatives to develop new sources of supplies and secure favorable terms, enhancing the company's purchasing power.
  • Purchasing Support: Interpret and communicate purchasing procedures to departments and assist in resolving purchasing problems, providing excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.
  • Experience: One to three years of procurement experience, preferably in food/beverage manufacturing, with a proven track record of driving cost savings and improving supply chain efficiency.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures, including technical specification development and bid analysis.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills, project management skills, and effective communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications, with a strong understanding of data analysis and interpretation.
