Job Summary:

The Warehouse Security Officer is a vital role within our organization, responsible for safeguarding the physical assets and personnel of our warehouse facility during non-business hours.

This includes conducting regular patrols of the warehouse interior and exterior, monitoring security systems, responding to alarms, and investigating any incidents that may occur.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interior and Exterior Patrols: Conduct regular foot patrols of the warehouse to inspect for signs of unauthorized access, vandalism, or suspicious activity.
  • Security Monitoring: Monitor security cameras and alarm systems, responding promptly to any alerts and taking appropriate action.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate security incidents, gather evidence, and prepare detailed incident reports.
  • Access Control: Control access to the warehouse, ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
  • Deterrence: Deter theft and vandalism by maintaining a visible security presence.
  • Emergency Response: Assist with emergency response procedures as needed.
  • Log Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date security logs and records.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid security guard license.
  • Experience: Prior experience in security or law enforcement preferred.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
    • Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Climbing: Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
    • Weather Conditions: Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Criminal Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check.
    • Drug Screening: Must be willing to undergo drug screening.
    • Schedule Flexibility: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
